Skythe sighed and rubbed her temples, "Resort to asking for help? Not my style."

"Would you rather lose a piece of your liver next?"

Skythe winced and chewed on her lip, "Not.. particularly.. no..."

"Then the smart thing would be to gather intel on ALL Deadmen in here, just so you know what to expect. Get on good sides, make it so they won't want to fight back!"

Skythe arched her brow and tapped her chin, "It seems a good plan.. but.. why are you telling me this? What can you gain?"

Alex grins, "I tell you because they are all doing the same thing, in a way. Birds in a cage will do anything to get out, right? As for my personal gain? Nothing in particular."

Skythe nodded and tapped her chin again, "True. I would do anything to get out.... "

"But trying would be suicide..."

Skythe smiled and cackled, "A dead bird is a free bird.. is it not?"

"If you call an abyss freedom..."

Skythe snorted, "You don't know what abyss is.. to tell the truth.. neither of us are sure which was here first, so try living a life that's not even yours! THAT is abyss never knowing if you were meant to be." She seemed obviously hurt, "Fuckit.. Fuck them all to hell.. I don't need help and I don't need life.."

"If you really think that way... You should throw your next match then. If life is truly worthless, just toss it away."

Skythe sighed and sat down, "It's not my choice to make. It would require both of us to agree. Zeeva for some unhell-made reason is bent on staying alive. She has 'hope' and a will to live... and you can't kill one of us without killing both."

"Then why bother coming out?"

Skythe scoffed, "Zeeva can't defend herself, she's weak and pathetic. I'm her backbone.. the only way she can live is because of me." Her eyes narrowed in annoyance. "Though sometimes it pleases me to piss people off or shed a little blood here and there."

"So the will to live is still there, right?"

Skythe sighed and scratched at the table, "Perceptive little bastard aren't you? Pulling me apart like this. Yes.. i suppose it is.. even if just slightly.."

Alex shrugs and places the mask back on his face, making his voice seem muffled and deep once more, "Slightly is better than not at all."

Skythe groaned, "But what's there to live for.. you can hardly live a normal life here."

"You just said that you live for Zeeva, correct?"

Skythe rolled her eyes, "I suppose that's what I said."

"So why ask me?"

Skythe shrugged, unsure of her answer.

"How was Crow?"

"Well his arm's busted, but it'll get better I'm sure." Skythe yawned.
